ANOTHER YEAR ends. Hallelujah to that!
It’s been a torrid year in many regards, but it strikes me that there are always reasons to be cheerful.
Skylines, cityscapes, landscapes, wondering what lies beyond the horizon. Hope.
First love, broken hearts, bad poetry.
Reconciliation, forgiveness, redemption, revenge.
Conviviality, community, living-together-ness.
The changing of the seasons.
The freedom to travel, nostalgia, wanderlust, longing for home.
Dreams, disappointments, glorious failures.
Those places where angels hover, unseen.
Humanity.
Humanity!
Amen.
Life is too precious to be wasted in misery…😉
Too right. There is no other way! 🙂
Thank you. It’s February 2017 but this post has no time limit.
Here in Jordan we have around 700,000 Syrian refugees within the camps, and around 500,000 trying to piece together a living in the urban areas. It is so hard; their struggle is real.
I have a warm home, great friends, good food, and the ability to more or less do whatever I fancy. Is this fair? Maybe not, but I never (ever) can take these great gifts for granted.
Hmmm, well perhaps it has no time limit. Another year gone, and things don’t seem to be getting any better… Not that blog posts make any difference.
Yet, despite all the awful news, lots of people are doing great things. Need to remember that.
